About
I’m a scientist, and applied researcher working at the intersection of biology, data, and scalable operations. My work spans wet labs, field trials, research computing, analytics, and operational excellence. I help research teams, agricultural innovators, and students push boundaries with rigorous science, thoughtful experimentation, and practical solutions. Previously, I have worked across laboratory science, agronomy, data analysis, and research operations to enable high-quality, reproducible, and scalable science.
A few accomplishments that i'm proud of:
- Streamlined R&D breeding workflows at Bayer, increasing efficiency by 15% and coordinating high-volume tissue sampling across cross-functional teams.
- Ensured full quality and safety compliance by writing SOPs and supporting QMS processes.
- Led a graduate research project on crop nitrogen use efficiency using R, SigmaPlot, and ArcGIS; presented findings at multiple conferences and in a full master’s thesis.
- Managed 950+ hours of laboratory operations while mentoring 15 teaching assistants supporting a 400-student course. Instructed 120+ students in aseptic and molecular biology techniques through hands-on training.
- Developed and optimized laboratory protocols, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, Western blotting, media preparation, and aseptic techniques.
- Performed in silico analyses, including phylogenetic studies of plant transcription factor families.
